Each year, Lakewood High School hosts The Lakewood Marching Festival (formerly Big Cat), where marching bands from around the region compete. This is one of LPAC’s biggest fundraisers of the year, and we need all families to come together for it to be a fun day for all the participants!
Here are ways you can support the Lakewood Marching Festival:

Volunteer to be a coordinator! We are looking for an adult to serve as an additional Stadium Coordinator. If you like to co-lead a team, facilitate communication, have fun, can attend a few meetings prior to the festival, and can spend Friday evening and Saturday with us, please reach out to Jolene Trujillo at bigcatcoord@gmail.com.

Advertise your business as a Lakewood Marching Festival Sponsor! Lakewood Marching Festival is the premier marching band event in the Denver area. Lakewood Marching Festival attracts over 5,000 spectators and participants. Submit a Student Shout Out! Send a special message to your student and/or your student’s section in the Lakewood Marching Festival program! You can opt for a full-page ($100) or half-page ($50) ad that celebrates your student with a message and photos. You can design your own Student Shout Out or you can submit your text and photos, and we will design your Student Shout Out using the full-page or half-page design
of your choice. The deadline to submit a Student Shout Out is September 10th. To submit a Student Shout Out, please complete the Student Shout Out Form and

Volunteer for a shift on Friday night (October 2nd) and/or on Saturday (October 3rd ). There are many areas that need help including stadium setup, parking, band set-up/warm-up areas, and spectator attending (which is a great way to get to watch the performances), just to name a few. Prior to the Lakewood Marching Festival, the LPAC will host trainings to ensure all volunteers are fully prepared for the day. Email Jess with any questions about volunteer role descriptions.
